Letters
Exclusive fonts, personalized inscription
Since ancient times, writing has been used to mark graves and serve as a memorial for the deceased, identifying them by name. Bronze lettering remains today a high-quality and durable way to adorn a grave with the name of the person resting there.
We offer more than 20 fonts, including sans-serif, cursive, and handwritten styles, with or without serifs… All of them were created exclusively for Barthélémy Bronze by professional typographers. Each font has its own unique characteristics, expressions, and personality. The majority are presented here; some are exclusively available on our website.
To name them, we chose the names of writers or pioneering individuals in their fields, reflecting the personality of each writing style.
Our inscriptions are made by digital cutting in so-called “connected” letters. They offer three main advantages over the individual characters of traditional foundry typefaces :
- Finer, contemporary fonts that remain perfectly legible, even at small sizes
- A wider range of sizes, making them suitable for small monuments (such as funerary or columbarium inscriptions), where foundry letters cannot fit due to their larger dimensions
- The presence of only two drill holes per word makes installation easier compared to the two drill holes per unconnected letter of traditional foundry typefaces
Plaques
Customizable plaques for columbariums or monuments
On small monuments, columbarium niches, or memorial steles, the columbarium plaque serves as the inscription to indicate the identity of the deceased and honor their memory. We offer different plaque styles: classic, minimalist, or versions with a pre-integrated ornament.
Frames
An airy aesthetic alternative to plaques
For an alternative to plaques with a lighter, more airy aesthetic, choose one of our openwork cut-frame models. Unlike plaques, they have no background: they consist of a frame and connecting links for the inscription. This allows the granite or stone to show through the frame, creating a delicate and minimalist visual effect.
Porcelain Photo
A durable image, resistant to the passage of time
To adorn a grave with an image of the deceased that withstands the test of time, for example as a complement to an inscription, the porcelain photo is THE ideal solution.
The photo is reproduced on high-quality Italian porcelain by firing ceramic pigments in a specialized kiln at 950°C, ensuring their longevity.

Varied creations, combining tradition and modernity
Enhancing an inscription on a gravestone or columbarium niche with a design related to the deceased’s life, profession, personality, passion, beliefs, or attachment to a region is an opportunity to highlight an aspect of their identity while also expressing the feelings of their loved ones.
Our collection of ornaments includes designs on themes as diverse as nature, universal or regional symbolism, religious emblems, as well as hobbies and professions.
Each design carries one or more meanings of its own :
For example, the rose is THE symbol of love, but also of hope and harmony, and of the promise of renewal.
The dove represents purity and symbolizes peace, fellowship, and the soul’s ascent to heaven.
The angel is a messenger. Depicted with outstretched arms and spread wings, it takes the deceased under its protection; as a cherub, it transforms them into eternal youth.
